Midsouth Steel, a leader in the fabrication and erection of structural steel has an immediate need for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician.  This is a full time, direct hire position with an excellent company.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be working with and installing industrial & residential style electrical equipment, conduit, and wiring. The position will include general maintenance duties as well focused on the maintenance and upkeep of the company's facilities and machinery.

Hours are Monday the Friday 7am to 3:30pm

Job Requirements
  • This work requires being able to understand electrical codes and regulations.
  • Must be knowledgeable with electrical safety and hazards to ensure the safety and well being of our employees, contractors and vendors.
  • Experience installing and setting electrical panels and breaker boxes. 
  • Experience working with transformers and existing electrical equipment.
  • A working understand of proper gauge wire, AMPS, and Hertz
  • Experience bending and running conduit.
  • Knowledge of residential and industrial runouts and code.
  • Experience working with energized equipment.
  • An understand of lockout tagout procedures as well as OSHA electrical rules and regulations.
  • An understanding AC DC Power.
  • Experience working with low voltage to 480v.

Having your own personal tools is plus. Tools required for a particular will be provided and stay in MSI tool chest. Must be a trustworthy honest individual ,On time and present for duties.
