There is a need for a mid-level Purchasing Associate to join our team. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a company offering tremendous growth opportunity and excellent benefits.

Job Description

The primary focus of this position is to support the Purchasing Manager in their day-to-day activities and strategic long-term vision.  Purchasing Associate will be assisting the purchasing of consumables like paint, tools and office supplies, while also overseeing our agreements for rental equipment and outside contractors (Security, Janitorial, Landscaping etc.).  The position will also lend support to the Purchasing Manager with capital and raw material purchases. 
Other key responsibilities of the position are the administration of corporate credit cards, purchase order account coding and support to the inventory team.  This entails the overseeing of the credit card issuance and the general administration of corporate credit cards for all employees, coding of purchase orders, and assist inventory management while monitoring inventory trends.

Job Requirements:
  • A 4-year degree in a relatable discipline (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, etc.) or commensurate work experience in purchasing.
  • Experience using an ERP system (Vista is a huge plus)
  • Experience with credit card administration.
  • Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Vendor negotiation.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles,
  • Inventory experience.
